UP Travel Mart to woo top foreign tour operators and Indian sellers
Uttar Pradesh Tourism will hold its Travel Mart in Lucknow on February 22-24, 2015.
O P Singh, Minister of Tourism, Uttar Pradesh, formally announced launch of the Uttar Pradesh Travel Mart (UPTM) 2015, which will be held in Lucknow on February 22-24, 2015. The maiden edition of UPTM is being organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in partnership with Government of Uttar Pradesh to promote tourism in a substantial way for the State of Uttar Pradesh. The inaugural will be held on February 22, 2015 and the Exhibition and B2B meetings will be held on February 23-24, 2015 at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. Speaking at the launch function at FICCI Federation House, Shri Singh wanted the Centre to loosen its purse strings and extend large budgetary support to develop the tourism product in the State to world standards so as to attract both inbound and domestic travelers and make their experience of the heritage, tourism and hospitality unforgettable. He described Uttar Pradesh as the heart of India and assured the tourism fraternity of his department’s sincere and determined efforts to develop and promote the State not just for creating new jobs but also to project the green and clean image of the State as enunciated by the Chief Mi9nistyer, Akhilesh Yadav, by his slogan ‘Green UP, CleanUP’. The Minister later launched the website of the travel mart (http://www.ficci-uptm.com/) for the use of foreign and domestic travelers. UPTM 2015 will see 75 fully hosted top of the line Foreign Tour Operators from across the world, who will have prescheduled structured b2b meetings for two full days with the sellers of tourism products of the state of Uttar Pradesh.
