Seychelles Tourism Board organises a luxury familiarisation trip for Indian travel agents

Seychelles Tourism Board recently organized a familiarization trip for Mumbai, Nagpur and Ahmedabad travel agents.  The objective behind this trip was to create an understanding about the destination and establish relations for the Indian trade with the private sector in Seychelles. The trip aimed at showcasing some of the best hotels and resorts of Seychelles to the agents educating them about the various offerings Seychelles has in the luxury living space.

The all women FAM trip experienced the warmth and hospitality of some of Seychelles’ most stunning resorts and experienced nature at its best on the various beaches of Seychelles.

Speaking about this initiative, Sherin Francis, CEO, Seychelles Tourism Board said,” We are seeing increased interest for Seychelles from the Indian market. A major part of the credit can be attributed to our Indian travel trade partners for understanding the uniqueness of Seychelles islands and promoting the same to the traveller. We will continue to educate and support them through initiatives like FAM trips, trainings and roadshow. “

Lubaina Sheerazi, COO-Blue Square Consultants, Seychelles Tourist Office- India said,” The travel agents group who participated in the FAM trip loved the islands and the properties and are upbeat about Seychelles’ potential to become a sought after destination in the luxury travel space. They are impressed with the diversity of the islands, their gorgeous secluded beaches, rare flora & fauna, adrenaline pumping activities, delicious cuisine and friendly people. In terms of accommodation the agents experienced the most exclusive private island resorts and luxury 5-star resorts which highlight the uniqueness of the destination with their exquisite locations and outstanding hospitality.”

During the trip the agents explored the two main islands of Seychelles – Mahé and Praslin and enjoyed the warm hospitality of Savoy, Double Tree, Constance Lemuria, Constance Ephelia, Hilton Northolme and MAIA. The group visited Four Seasons resort, Enchanted Island resort, Coral Strand, Eden Island, Coco de Mer & Black Parrot Suites, Kempinski resort and Eden Bleu hotel. The group also interacted with the representatives of DMCs including Creole Travel Services, Mason’s Travel, 7 Degrees South and Vision Voyages who also partnered with the tourism board for logistics and transfers.

Island hopping is very easy in Seychelles with regular boat and air services between the islands. Mahé home to the smallest capital city of the world-Victoria is the most populated island of Seychelles. It is the only island that offers motorised water sports and has the beautiful marina of Beau Vallon which boasts of the best nightlife of Seychelles. Seychelles is a hassle-free travel destination for Indians due to its visa is on arrival and gratis policy. On arrival one just needs to show the return ticket, accommodation proof, valid passport and enough funds for their stay for immigration clearance. Seychelles is blessed with beautiful year-long warm tropical climate making it perfect to visit anytime of the year. It is also out of the cyclone zone and is free of tropical diseases.
