Argentina submitted its offer at IMEX 2017
After the good results of the latest ICCA Ranking, INPROTUR attended the fair in Frankfurt, Germany.
The Ministry of Tourism of the Nation, through the National Institute of Tourism (INPROTUR), successfully participated in the international exhibition IMEX 2017, developed from 16 to 18 May in the city of Frankfurt, Federal Republic of Germany.
IMEX is one of the major tourism fairs Meeting the world. Led by professionals segment, this meeting has an agenda of multiple activities for decision makers, who have the opportunity to meet with more than 3,500 suppliers for three business days.
Actions and objectives
INPROTUR team attended the fair with a stand of 207 square meters with the objective of continue positioning our country as a great destination to organize and develop all kinds of events. After the latest ranking by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), Argentina entered the Top-20 countries organizing international tourism events and meetings, and Buenos Aires ended for the 8th consecutive time as a leader in America.
In the national arena, which was supported by the Argentine Consul General, Edgardo Malaroda, a series of presentations on the possibilities offered by our nation’s decision makers events took place. It is noteworthy that Argentina has in its six tourist regions with 48 destinations suitable for conducting international events and 30 Convention & Visitors Bureaux.
During the three days, INPROTUR was presented at events organized by ICCA and the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) after generating networking among participants. In addition, they held various meetings with event organizers, professional associations and incentive houses, ready to make their events on our territory.
INPROTUR was accompanied by Aerolineas Argentinas, 1st Vice President of the Argentina Chamber of Tourism (CAT), Fernando Gorbarán, the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, San Carlos de Bariloche, the provinces of Mendoza and Cordoba, and 18 private sector companies convened by the CAT.
