SriLankan Airlines Hosts Group of Leading Influencers and Actors from South India

SriLankan Airlines hosts yet another exceptional group of Indian celebrities and influencers as part of its continued efforts to revive tourism in Sri Lanka and fortify connectivity in its single largest market – India. The group arrived in Colombo on Saturday, 26 March 2022 and comprises of social media influencers including YouTubers and actors from Southern India.

The group will tour across the island on a curated six-day itinerary taking in Sri Lanka’s rich ecological and cultural vibrancy entwined with inherent island attributes of luxury, wellness and hospitality. SriLankan embarked on this endeavour to promote the country’s tourism industry by inspiring travel from India, which is a top source market to Sri Lanka. Indian skies reopened for commercial air travel on 27 March 2022, and this marketing activity is a timely opportunity to attract Indian travellers into Sri Lanka.

Gehna Sippy

The group includes Avika Sameer Gor (famous celebrity best known for playing Anandi in Indian Television History), Gehna Haresh Sippy (Tollywood celebrity), Apoorva Srinivasan Aringundrum (vlogger from MySouthDiva.com), Shweta Sharma or Ruhani Sharma (Tollywood celebrity) and Tanya Hope (Telugu, Tamil & Kannada Celebrity). Their travel stories from Sri Lanka are expected to reach many thousands of their followers in India across their individual social media platforms.

The group is booked in at Cinnamon Bentota Beach resort for their stay, and will visit nearby scenic destinations. They will also go on a day excursion to Galle. Further, MySouthDiva has planned their annual calendar shoot with the group at the resort, with Sri Lanka as the backdrop. SriLankan Airlines is the travel partner for the calendar.
