IndiGo, Go Air, Air India allowed to start international flights from Kannur
IndiGo, Go Air and Air India have been given permission to start international flights from Kannur, Minister of Tourism, KJ Alphons announced recently. The airport is likely to start operations from October 1. It will be left to each airline to decide on its launch date for Kannur operations.
Meanwhile, widebody operations have been allowed to start from Kozhikode. Saudi Arabian Airlines plans to operate Airbus 330 and Boeing 777 aircraft to Kozhikode, Jayant Sinha, Minister of State for Civil Aviation announced.
