Air Seychelles appoints M&C Aviation as its GSA in India
Air Seychelles recently appointed M&C Aviation, as its general sales agent for India. M&C Aviation was earlier Air Seychelles’s cargo sales agent for India, and is also its GSA in Madagascar and Mauritius.
The new alliance is expected to enable M&C Aviation to take a more active role in Air Seychelles’ development across India. It’s also in discussions to further expand the GSA coverage of Air Seychelles, and expand in the south Asian markets. M&C Aviation is a founder member of 1GSA, an independent global GSSA network.
Air Seychelles operates five weekly services from Mumbai to its Seychelles hub, with Airbus 320s. Its network also covers the Indian Oceania region, comprising Mauritius and Madagascar, as well as South Africa and parts of Europe. Its mainstay traffic is pharmaceuticals, textiles and courier shipments.
Harish Shah, CDEO India, M&C Aviation said: “We have introduced Air Seychelles’ services for the first time to other major markets of India, including Bangalore, Madras and Delhi. We have also added products to their portfolio, such as small parcels express, as well as increased their coverage using interline partners in the Europe and the USA, and connections to East Africa.”
Freddy Karkaria, General Manager Cargo, Air Seychelles said: “We have been quite pleased with the highly-effective partnership with M&C, and are delighted to confirm this extension of their responsibilities. We look forward to working together to our maximise business opportunities.”
