Seychelles Tourism Board celebrates the success of three-city road show
Seychelles Tourist Office, India organised a three city roadshow from 18th to 22nd September 2017 in Delhi (18th), Ahmedabad (20th) and Mumbai (22nd). Delhi, Ahmedabad and Mumbai churn out some of the highest numbers of visitors each year to Seychelles and comprise of travel trade that facilitates most number of travellers from north and western parts of India.
The highlight and differentiator of this roadshow was its format. For the first time since commencing operations in the India market, Seychelles Tourism Board adopted a new format for its roadshow – the Round Robin format, which ensured pre-scheduled meetings between the partners and trade and was strictly by invitation. Our partners got a chance to present their product and interact with the top sellers of Seychelles in the three top performing cities of India.
The roadshow kick started with meetings in Delhi on the 18th of September followed by Ahmedabad on the 20th of September and concluded with Mumbai on the 22nd of September. Each city had partners meeting 60 top agents of Seychelles and the success of each city was marked by 100% turnout as per schedule and highly appreciative and positive feedback about the same.
Commenting on the roadshow Sherin Francis, CEO Seychelles Tourism Board said, “We are happy to note the immense success of the three city road show in India. The cities were chosen due to their current and potential capacities for outbound tourism to Seychelles. We have received only positive feedback about the format and execution by both our Seychelles partners and agents back in India. We look forward to strengthen our bonds with the Indian travel trade with more of such interactions with them.”
The Roadshow did not just introduce a new way of interaction but also saw the highest turn out of participants from Seychelles. The contingent had partners from various establishments- DMCs- Mason’s Travel, 7 Degree South, Vision Voyages, Summer Rain Tours, Luxury Travel Services, Hotel- MAIA Luxury Resort and Spa, Eden Bleu, Enchanted Island Resort, Savoy Resort, Le Relax Hotels, H Resort, Cruise Company- Variety Cruises, Airlines- Air Seychelles, Sri Lankan Airlines and Seychelles government association- SHTA-Seychelles Hospitality and Tourism Association.
The agenda of the roadshow was met as both agents and partners could conduct fruitful meetings and share honest feedback about accessibility and quality of services rendered by both parties.
