BAOA applauds Government’s move of relaxing clearance norms for Business Aviation

On the back of relaxation of clearance norms for business aviation, Rohit Kapur, President, Business Aircraft Operators Association (BAOA) said,
“We welcome and deeply appreciate Ministry of Civil Aviation and DGCA’s efforts to remove the pre-condition of obtaining YA number for Indian-registered business and charter aircraft jets. This is a step forward in facilitating the ease of doing business for the Business and General Aviation industry.
Business Jets are not merely a luxury but in most cases a necessity in terms of gaining quick access and connectivity where time is of essence, and allowing business leaders to be more efficient and productive by affording them the flexibility of travel. Doing away with YA number will ensure that Indian operators can fly overseas without delay and will help maintain the essence of business aviation.”
