Lords Hotels & Resorts celebrates World Tourism Day
On the occasion, Lords Hotels & Resorts held workshops at its different units emphasizing the need for conservation of environment by preventing wastage of water resources, keeping surroundings clean, green and tidy all of which will directly or indirectly lead to promotion of tourism. The theme of the whole activity was based on the slogan “Atithi Devo Bhava” hence treating domestic and International tourist as god in the form of guests.
The teams also performed World Tourism Day badge ceremony where the badges were pasted on the shirts of each and every guest staying at the hotels. The guests were greeted and badges with slogan “Atithi Devo Bhava” were pasted on their shirts while they were coming for their morning breakfast. As part of the activity the teams of the units also went to several old heritage sites around their respective units and distributed World Tourism Day badges and taught the visitors about World class tourism and the responsibilities of a good travel.
“Such occasions give us a chance to reconnect with the larger issues we kind of not give serious attention during day to day operations. Tourism is not just about travel, it is blend of social and cultural values. The tourism day helps us in reminding this important fact,” said Rishi Puri, VP, Lords Hotels & Resorts.
