Jamaica Showcases Its Tourism Highlights at SATTE 2025
The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) has returned to South Asia Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2025, one of the largest travel and tourism exhibitions in India, scheduled to take place from February 19th to 21st, 2025 in New Delhi.
Jamaica, a multi-dimensional destination, offers lazy rivers, refreshing waterfalls, cool mountains, miles of countryside, white sand beaches, botanical gardens, and mouthwatering cuisine. From Montego Bay’s delightfully playful vibe, Ocho Rio’s active pursuits, and Kingston’s cultured savvy to the tranquil shores of Negril, Port Antonio, and the South Coast, thrills and relaxation await in equal measure on this island.
The return of JTB at SATTE marks the beginning of the Ministry’s strategy for 2025, a year poised to witness continued growth and innovation in the global tourism sector. Under the theme “Thrive in 2025,” Jamaica’s ambitious targets are to welcome five million visitors and generate five billion US dollars in earnings, further solidifying Jamaica’s position as a top-tier destination in the global tourism landscape.
During SATTE 2025, JTB plans to communicate the new “Contrasts Campaign” in SATTE 2025. This new campaign celebrates the destination’s diverse and multidimensional appeal. Each focal point highlights a contrast-whether it be mountains versus beaches, adventure versus romance, or lively versus laid-back—there truly is something for everyone in Jamaica!
As India remains one of the fastest-growing economies globally, the island destination has recently revealed its plans of collaboration with prominent international carriers, aiming to capture the island’s tourism reach more directly and increase international connectivity. In an effort to further enhance the accessibility, Jamaica has also collaborated with Virgin Atlantic, a British airline, for a non-stop flight from Heathrow to Montego Bay – a giant leap for the tourism industry of Jamaica. This direct flight path directly targets the British and Indian clientele and will help boost the number of travellers to Jamaica.
These new airline partnerships will enable the introduction of additional direct flights from important cities in the United States, UK, Canada and India directly into Jamaica, making it easier for travellers to access the island’s beautiful attractions, culture, and beaches.
Speaking on Jamaica’s participation at SATTE 2025, Donovan White, Director of Tourism of Jamaica says, “India is an emerging market that Jamaica intends to leverage to increase our arrivals and earnings. We are proud of Jamaica’s strong performance in 2024, achieving some 4.2 million arrivals and earning US$4.3 billion in tourism revenue. As we move into 2025, we aim to welcome five million visitors and generate five billion US dollars in earnings”.
SATTE (South Asia’s Travel & Tourism Exchange) offers a comprehensive platform to domestic and international buyers and professionals from across the travel, tourism and hospitality industry along with National and State Tourism Boards (NTOs and STOs). SATTE is recognized as Asia’s Leading travel and tourism exhibition to conduct business, share knowledge, exchange ideas in order to arrive at solution-driven innovations to accelerate the pace of the growth of the industry.
